Alexandra Gavillet is an American director, photographer and screenwriter who recently launched her narrative filmmaking debut with “The Gift,” an 18-minute dramedy about shame, modern womanhood, and the liberating power of honesty.
As an established commercial and editorial director and photographer, Gavillet’s creative illuminates the bold vivacity of the human spirit pervading the cultural landscape globally, collaborating with brands and thought leaders across entertainment’s vast intersection of sports, music and fashion, supporting ad campaigns representing the world’s most distinguished brands (Google, Apple, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Netflix, HBO Max, Bose, Dunkin, Mars, Kate Spade, Crocs), directing extraordinary talents including but not excluded to: Sydney Sweeney, Usher, BTS, Blackpink, Victoria Beckham, The Kardashians, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, Usher, Sienna Miller, and more.
Gavillet is the recipient of the 2025 MTV Country Music Video Award (with co-director Megan Moroney); additionally, Gavillet, with Moroney, is a 2025 nominee for the 59th Annual CMA Music Video of the Year Award (to be announced November 19, 2025). Earlier this year, Gavillet’s M&M’S X Kate Spade New York campaign won a Shorty brand partnership award. Her Gavillet Crocs SS25 Digital Campaign was nominated for a 2025 WEBBY Award.
A Chicago native, Gavillet graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts/Photography and Imaging Department. She lives in LA with her two adorable pups - Bowie and Pikachu. (Gavillet is a Gemini and middle child - do what you want with that information.)
