“The Gift” is a comedic drama short about the chaos and catharsis of modern intimacy. Written and directed by Alexandra Gavillet, it follows a young woman confronting shame, connection, and self-acceptance after a complicated situationship, told with humor, heartbreak, and a touch of magical realism.

Shot and completed in August 2025 in Calgary, Canada, The Gift marks Alexandra’s first narrative short film, expanding her voice beyond the commercial and music video world into narrative storytelling. The film is currently making its way through the festival circuit.
